Adding 50 @ Ecm=200 GeV
Getting closer to the kinematical wall luminosity becomes important!
Paying a factor 2 in luminosity is not necessarily worth the 2 GeV increase in CM energy (in particular taking into account that the machine will be less stable at its highest possible energy).
Based on this work, from the Higgs search point of view (SM and MSSM) it might be better to increase the luminosity at 198 GeV CM energy, rather than increase the CM energy to its 200 GeV peak and loose a factor 2 in luminosity!
